About SirenSong ProductionsSirenSong Productions began in 1998 when Bronwyn Edwards Cryer left the City of Seattle after almost 12 years of public relations. Anxious to expand her experience into the realm of project management, photography, web work, and music, she began working out of her home office so she could be closer to her daughter and her husky-lab, Zach. It seemed that everyone was happier when Bron was working at home. Bron has tackled a wide variety of jobs and now has an impressive portfolio, including the waterfront drawings of a "viaduct-less Seattle," created for the Mayor's roll-out for a proposed tunnel to replace the crumbling sea-wall and the earthquake-prone Viaduct; numerous City publications in print; a number of colorful and informative websites, soundtracks for at least 3 videos; video production (Mayor's Small Business Awards 2005) and editing; photography (events, people and nature); newsletters and numerous projects supporting schools and community. SirenSong Productions received a nomination for a Mayor's Small Business Award in 2003 for a series of projects promoting the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce, of which SirenSong is a member. Clients include the City of Seattle (Dept of Planning & Development, Mayor's Office for Senior Citizens, Office of Economic Development, Seattle Department of Transportation, Dept of Neighborhoods, and the Strategic Planning Office), Quidnunc Computer Store, David Bach & Associates, Ute Ltd, Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association, and Economic Opportunity Institute, as well as numerous small businesses. Perhaps the highlight of her City-related projects was hanging out (literally) of a helicopter with Planning Director John Rahaim on a photoshoot. She also fondly remembers riding up and down on top of elevators on a photographic assignment of the City's female Elevator Inspectors. Bronwyn Edwards Cryer (Principal Siren)Bronwyn Edwards Cryer is an Australian ex-patriot with degrees in music and architecture (University of New South Wales, Australia). She has lived in the USA for the past 20 years. A true Renaissance woman, Bron is an artist and a musician. She excels at strategic communications, and her wealth of experience in the public sector makes her a valuable asset to public information and outreach projects. Included in her arsenal of computer skills are illustration, design and layout, website, sound recording/editing and video production/editing capabilities. She is also a competent photographer and a wiz at digital manipulation of photographs. Bron also teaches music to a small number of fortunate students. Beginners are welcome, and her students have had some special experiences working with Bron in her stage show "The Red Piano." She teaches three evenings a week and has a fairly full schedule. Bron performs music solo, with friends, and with bands that regularly invite her to play keyboards and backup vocals. In a perfect world, she would be in the recording studio most of the time, writing and recording her original music, as well as being a mentor to young musicians. Bron lives with her husband Randy Cryer, daughter Kendall and two dogs, Zach and Charlee, in West Seattle and has been an addicted Soccer Mom and part-time coach since 1995. |
